Baseball Cake
This Baseball Cake is perfect for sports-themed parties! A fun, easy vanilla cake decorated like a baseball with piped red stitching. Great for birthdays or game days.

Ingredients
Cake
- 2 boxes vanilla cake mix
- eggs, oil, and water per box instructions
Buttercream Frosting
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 6 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp milk or cream
- red gel food coloring
- blue food coloring optional
- cooking spray or butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix and bake cake as directed. Cool completely.
- Level cakes and stack with buttercream in between.
- Frost entire cake with white buttercream.
- Pipe red stitching on top using colored frosting.
- Chill cake until ready to serve.
Notes
For a more realistic baseball shape, use a dome or sports ball cake pan. Store in fridge for up to 3 days.
